Putting Wildlife Over Waste
For decades, millions of tons of plastic and other trash has ended up in our oceans. This is creating an environmental disaster for ocean wildlife, with plastic debris killing millions of sea turtles, seabirds and marine mammals every year who mistake it for food. Every time we use something made of plastic and throw it away, it will be somewhere in the natural environment for hundreds of years.
We need to stop using plastics we don't need, especially plastics that we only use once and throw away. It's up to all of us to make changes in our own lives and use less plastic to protect wildlife and our natural environment.
Help us empower the next generation to put wildlife over waste.
Myrtle the Turtle is a children’s book about a young, adventurous sea turtle in the Pacific Ocean who mistakes a plastic bag for a jellyfish, and realizes she needs your help to keep her ocean home safe and beautiful. Myrtle the Turtle is a 20 page, soft-cover book that's easy for little hands to hold.
